In addition to being tasty, the Formosa papaya is a source of health, as it is rich in dietary fiber and vitamins A, B, C and E. With few calories and rich in water, its consumption increases the feeling of satiety and helps in weight loss. The benefits of the fruit in the body extend from the skin and hair, through vision, to the brain and intestine.

The antioxidants present in the fruit help the liver to detoxify the body and inhibit the development of chronic diseases such as cancer, hypertension and diabetes. Folic acid helps pregnant women and fights osteoporosis. Papain reduces mucus and inflammation, improving control of sinusitis and other respiratory conditions.

The Formosa papaya also contributes to the strengthening of the immune system, the reduction of the absorption of carbohydrates, cholesterol and toxins by the intestine.
